Don’t Choose Me, Choose Her.

For a whole year, I can’t make up my mind. Living in my fantasies that if I hold on for long enough, you’d eventually choose me. I choose to see the good side in you, choose to always help you out when you needed it. All these while, you were just stringing me to play along with my good faith. Knowing that even if you gave me the slightest bit of affection, I’d succumbed to you again. I admit, I have a soft spot for you but time and time again — my heart have been broken so many times by you.

I don’t deserve to be someone’s else backup plan, no matter how much they meant to me. If someone wants something badly enough, they will path a way to commit to it. It took me so long to realize that there is no need to convince someone that they should be with me, that they should love me. The moment you needed to put in effort for this, you’ve already lost in this game of love.

Indecisiveness is an answer in itself, hesitation is an answer. Just got to face the truth head on — your indecisiveness helped finalized my decision. Don’t choose me, choose her instead. I don’t want someone that can’t even make up his mind about whether he wants me in his life, your ‘maybe’ is how you lose me.

Being alone is easier to handle than the pain of trying to be there for someone who doesn’t see your value, neglects you and don’t pay attention to your wants and needs. I believe one day in the near future, you will find someone who won’t hesitate to choose you — someone who will proudly call you ‘mine’.
